“I always love to see some of the area’s best high school writers as well as HPU’s best turn out for the Phoenix Festival, and hear them inspired enough to read their poetry, fiction, and nonfiction aloud in the auditorium,” said Georgeanna Sellers, assistant professor of English at HPU. “For some of them it’s their first opportunity to read their work before a large group, and it’s very important to their growth as writers.”
