High Point University (HPU) is pleased to support and award five prestigious Say Yes Scholarships with at least two of these being First Generation Scholarships to Guilford County School students living in High Point, North Carolina. This scholarship opportunity is expected to be highly competitive and will include full tuition, fees and books during the academic year. Students are highly encouraged to live on campus and state and federal need based assistance will be explored, after filing a FAFSA to help cover these costs. Scholarships will be adjusted to not exceed full tuition, fees and books for those living off campus. The awards will be renewable for an additional three years provided that all academic renewal requirements are met and a clear social record is maintained. Household family income must be $75,000 or less to qualify for the full tuition award.
High Point University will also award at least five Choice Scholarships through Say Yes that are valued at $5,000 per year for 4 years to qualifying students from Guilford County attending a Guilford County public high school whose family incomes are above $75,000. The awards will be renewable provided that all academic renewable provided that all academic renewal requirements are met and a clear social record is maintained.

Getting Involved
All recipients of the Say Yes to Guilford/First Generation Scholarship automatically become members of the HPU Bonner Leaders Program. The Bonner Program is a four-year cohort-model program that brings in about 10 freshman each year who are dedicated to achieving an education that will prepare them to make a difference in our world. Bonner leaders meet regularly, attend leadership workshops, go on trips together, and they are paid an additional $2,700 a year to work 7-9 hours a week with one of HPU’s non-profit partners.
